March 15, 2024 - Special Meeting re Police Chief Ricky Ramie at Lynn Haven City Hall
March 15, 2024 - A public service announcement from MayOR Jesse Nelson:
Our POlice Chief Ricky Ramie's hit-and-run arrest occurred while he was off duty. And he wasn't driving a City vehicle.
His actions are protected by the 14th Amendment. It's what our country was founded on. And we take our oath very seriously.
So, calm down.
March 15, 2024 - Lynn Haven Mayor Jesse Nelson taunts Commissioner Jamie Warrick re Police Chief hit-and-run.
March 13, 2024 - Why was Commissioner Judy Vandergrift so visibly ANGRY when two commissioners wanted to discuss Police Chief Ricky Ramie's hit-and-run arrest?
I mean, look at her snarl. If that microphone arm was a chicken's neck, she'd have snapped it.
Here are the local officials who are going to extremes to protect the vulgar and vindictive Chief of Police in Lynn Haven:
Sheriff Tommy Ford, State Attorney Larry Basford, Mayor Jesse Nelson, City Manager Vickie Gainer, and City Attorney Kevin Obos.
Until yesterday, the four commissioners have been mostly silent. Now two of them want a public discussion about Chief Ramie's criminal traffic citation after crashing into a parked car and leaving the scene after leaving Ms. Newby's bar.
This occurred on Dec. 30. The FHP finally issued the criminal traffic citation on Feb. 6, arresting Chief Ramie with a Notice to Appear.
Chief Ramie has hired criminal defense attorney Waylon Graham, pled not guilty, and requested a jury trial.
MayOR Jesse Nelson and City Manager Vickie Gainer kept it a secret until I broke the story on Valentines Day. Gainer explained that she had to inform the four commissioners on Feb. 15 after "it got out."
Chief Ramie has been a wrecking ball for the City.
He took a sack of cash from former City Manager Michael White after Hurricane Michael (anywhere between $10K-$173K). He told the FBI and Federal Judge Mark Walker that he gave it back to White, who's now in prison.
Chief Ramie gave a handgun from the evidence locker to White as well, who later pointed at his wife's head. White told the jury that "it wasn't loaded." Chief Ramie told Judge Walker that he had given guns from the evidence locker to judges while he was at the Bay County Sheriff's Office.
Four days after being humiliated on the witness stand in the bogus prosecution against developer James Finch, Chief Ramie falsely arrested Finch's wife for drug possession. State Attorney Basford tormented her for several months before finally dropping the case and admitting there was no evidence at all.
So now that Chief Ramie is yet again in the hot seat, Commissioners Jamie Warrick and Sam Peebles are under fire for merely voting to have a discussion about Chief Ramie's hit-and-run arrest.
Commissioner Pat Perno is a deer in the headlights.
But the big question mark is why Commissioner Judy Vandergrift went ape shit when the vote was called.
