The new Governance Transit Committee swears this bill is only to streamline government and serve the people.
I’m calling bullshit.
This is a massive scheme to tax, take, and torment the people in order to enrich themselves and their co-conspirators.

June 5, 2024 - Bay County Commission trying to create TRANSIT AUTHORITY with taxing authority and land grab powers.
The County Commission and the TPO created the Governance Transit Committee that's creating a bill for the Florida Legislature.
But the members of the GTC doesn't know what's in the bill they're preparing. And they don't know who was on the "task force" that advised them.
Shady, shady.
June 4, 2024 - The FBI should consider stationing a Special Agent in Mexico Beach.
A hundred million in FEMA money. A long-time mayor who owns Ace Hardware was also a vender getting more than $500 thousand from the City. The City is two years late on its annual audits. The State Legislative Auditing Committee is investigating, and sanctions are being levied on the City.
A Sheriff and State Attorney and a Judge see no problems. Other than the Mayor who exposed it all.
The protection racket can’t last forever.

June 3, 2024 - Today I crashed an obscure meeting of politicians trying to create transportation authority in Bay County.
They said it wouldn't have any taxing authority, but they didn't mention the power to levy and enforce assessments (taxes by another name).
They said they were acting on the information of a "task force." But when I asked for the names of the task force members, nobody knew. I made a public record request for the names.
This new Governance Transportation Committee was created in 2023 by the Bay County Commission and the Transportation Planning Organization (TPO).
As nice as everybody was, this seems shady as all get-out. They have crafted a bill for Sen. Jay Trumbull and Rep. Griff Griffitts to sponsor in the upcoming Florida Legislative Session.
The voting members and staff today were Pamn Henderson, Paul Casto, Josh Street, Pat Perno, Angela Bradley, Gene Keen, and Mary Beth Washnock.
They were complaining because Tommy Hamm wasn't there.
Josh Street talked with me after the meeting, and assured us that they don't intend to have ANY taxing or assessment authority. He was surprised to see the language in the resolution. And he said he would look into it.
