Corruption Watch - Lynn Haven's Half-Cent Sales Tax, Panama City Beach Drive boondoggle
Watch every show and see Facebook posts right here.
April 18, 2025 - How many millions did Lynn Haven receive from the half-cent sales tax? Officials won't say. Former Mayor Margo Anderson's question is being ignored by the entire City Commission. It was projected to be around $20 million. Why are they dodging the question?
April 18, 2025 - Beach Drive is not theirs to take. And they know it. Their own City Attorney made it clear long ago and nothing has changed except for the lack of integrity by Commissioners like Josh Street.
Their voracious appetite for more grant money has them obsessing over other people’s property like drug addicts slapping their own arms, eager to slide the needle of covetousness into their veins.
Their bloodstream’s hallelujahs cry out for more grant money and more projects and more donors and kickbacks.
April 18, 2025 - They want to make this road much more narrow. They want to remove nearly 300 trees. They want to replace the trees with a concrete sidewalk.
City officials love multi-million dollar grants and they love big developers and cozy consultants and facacta lawyers.
They can’t stand you, and they hate nature.
They covet other people’s property. They lie about DOT jurisdiction over the road itself.
They created a fraudulent Referendum and then hid behind it from residents’ questions at official meetings.
They’ve paid Chris Forehand’s Panhandle Engineering nearly a million dollars for designing the sidewalk under the false pretext that the City owned the road.
Now they want to pay Chris Forehand AGAIN for more designs after finally admitting DOT refused to transfer the road. Even though Forehand received immunity for committing federal crimes against the City of Lynn Haven after Hurricane Michael.
Deceitful Commissioner Josh Street has pushed the hardest for this boondoggle. Jenna Haligas continues promoting the racket as she leaves office. Brian Grainger represents kingpin William Harrison like a faithful statue. And Janice Lucas has become pro-government status quo since becoming a politician.
One thing they all have in common is contempt for the people.
April 18, 2025 - Unacceptable. Commissioner Jamie Warrick won't answer how much the City has received from the half-cent sales tax for infrastructure projects.
Former Mayor Margo Anderson emailed every commissioner that simple question, and not a single one even replied.
The City was projected to receive around $20 million since the tax passed nearly a decade ago. Exactly how much has been collected since then?
After it passed, the City borrowed roughly $10 million and voted to pay off the bond with the half-cent sales tax revenue. It should be paid off by now.
Why won't the City tell the people the answer to these two questions?
1. How much has the City collected since the tax was passed?
2. What is the status of the $10 million loan?
When Jamie Warrick first ran for office four years ago, he came on my show and I endorsed him. He promised to focus on the City's finances and represent the people. I believed him.
Instead, he has promised Mayor Jesse Nelson to be a unified front against the people. Mayor Nelson has berated Commissioner Warrick during the meetings when he steps out of line.
Whenever Warrick asked tough questions, Mayor Nelson would bully and gaslight him to the point of tears. Then like a battered wife, Warrick would again promise to fall in line.
But Warrick doesn't represent Mayor Nelson. Nor does he represent the other commissioners.
He represents his constituents and the public at large. It's healthy to disagree with each other during official meetings. It's cultish to fall in line and refuse to answer important questions.
There's no doubt that Warrick is a better choice in his reelection campaign than his opponent. But that's not saying a helluva lot.
Former Mayor Margo Anderson told this story on my show last night at the 27:54 minute mark.
Too many people give Commissioner Warrick a pass for ghosting the people on important questions. But I won't stand for it.
I'm told that Commissioner Warrick will boldly do the right thing once two more commissioners agree with him. That's not leadership. That's not statesmanship.
It's bullshit.
April 17, 2025 - Former Lynn Haven Mayor Margo Anderson joins us to talk about the election and much more.
April 17, 2025 - Nearly half-a-million dollars. That's how much the City pays to hire three City Managers. Johnathan Hayes makes almost $200,000 himself.
There's a money hole at Panama City and this candidate wants to plug it. It's time for accountability in local government.
Vote for Ed Young for Ward 1 Panama City Commission on or before Tuesday.

April 16, 2025 - Crime Tape Caper on Beach Drive
Beach Drive residents have again put caution tape around the trees this morning and Commissioner Josh Street is not happy.
Yesterday City employees removed the caution tape, and City Manager Johnathon Hayes reported it to the state as though it were a hate crime.
Nearly 300 trees are on death row as the City is hellbent on tearing them down for a concrete sidewalk.
Johnathon Hayes says the City needs new trees because these are more than 20 years old.
City officials say they're going to plant 100 big oak trees in the sand instead. Next to the concrete sidewalk.
Josh Street has refused to answer residents' questions during official meetings. He has been determined to plow down the historic scenic view along the water.
They placed a fraudulent Referendum on the ballot, and Josh Street says talking about the Beach Drive boondoggle would be electioneering.
April 15, 2025 - Judy Tinder knows that good government is about integrity and the people.
Vote for Judy on or before April 22.
